SIGNAL MOUNTAIN

A residential area brimming with families, Signal Mountain is the place to be. Centuries before the Civil War, Native Americans used Signal Point to send fire and smoke signals across the Tennessee Valley and the Union Army eventually adopted the same tactics. The neighborhood started as a summer retreat for the affluent of the city in 1873, but today it has grown into a year round residential area. 68% of the population is college educated, the local school system is top notch, and the homes are simply beautiful. With restaurants, grocery stores, and national parks, Signal Mountain is the perfect place for everyone from young couples to the retiree. In 2013 Signal Mountain even made Bloomberg Businessweeks' list of the best places to raise a family
